THESE INFRACTIONS NEED TO END

I'm all for the proper policing for our community associations. The funds within community associations should never be used to benefit a volunteer or contractor. Unfortunately, several communities have fallen victim to these acts that our legistatlors are having to get involved.

 

I have a couple of concerns, and I wonder how they will be addressed. Why didnt the legislators consider HOA's in this bill? How will they manage the influx of calls/complaints from those owners that assume something fishy is going on? Don't get me wrong, I'm not against it; I'm just concerned about the false allegations and the time it will take to investigate each complaint? Will they have the resources to determine which one is real or not?

 

Either way, I do believe we are moving in the right direction. Penalties for these violations need to be harsh for all those involved (CAM, Board, Contractor & Management Company.)
