POSITIVE CHANGE FROM THE PANDEMIC

The Pandemic forced entire industries to rethink how they conducted business. For certain industries, not much changed but the location of the staff, but for other sectors, many things changed, and a new way of conducting business had to be accepted.

 

The association management industry always lagged behind other sectors in the technology space because of boards not wanting to accept a new way of doing things. However, the Pandemic quickly changed that frame of mind for many of those Board members. The Pandemic accelerated collaboration and innovation in a way that no one could have imagined.

 

Many Board members saw the value and effectiveness of hosting board meetings online. They could have higher participation and a more transparent forum to communicate to its residents. In addition, such an online platform allowed for a bit more control and less outburst by the usual suspects.

 

Overall everyone quickly realized the benefits of using such technology, and we are all hopeful that the trend continues.
