WILL HOA’S EVER GET IT??

With all of the new legislation taking place for Condo Associations, it seems to have rattled some of our HOA’s. Over the past 30 days, I’ve been inundated will calls and emails asking for clarification on these new laws, and seeking advice on moving forward, to ensure compliance. However, the majority of Board Members contacting me are HOA’s and not condos. It seems that many HOA Boards were hoping legislators had finally decided to step up and treat them equally to their condo boards. Unfortunately, I find myself informing them that this is not the case. I take the opportunity to remind them that Jan Bergemann/CCFJ and Eric Glazer/Glazer and Associates work tirelessly every year to bring more regulation and oversight to HOA’s, but every Homeowner and Board member of HOA’s MUST GET INVOLVED! The current trend in American politics is to take a stand for change. HOA’s need to follow this trend if they ever want to be treated equally. It really is up to you to make a difference.
