Let The Battle Begin

Year-end reconciliations, of Association accounts, are imperative to ensure their financial accuracy and stability. These state mandated audits or reviews provide detailed information to all Homeowners by keeping them informed of the financial standing and can potentially provide a sense of security for their investment.

  

That is, of course, if the Board chooses to share the information with the Homeowners! The preparation of these annual financial statements and audit/ reviews and the failure in releasing this information to the Homeowners will generate more complaints as Boards and LCAMS continue to make receiving them inconvenient and costly or simply refuse to provide the documentation for review.

 

As we move into 2012, we look to Boards and LCAM’s to be more accommodating and meet the requests and requirements for dispersing such information as directed by the state community bylaws.
