CENTRAL FLORIDA, SPACE COAST AND TREASURE
COAST --- HERE WE COME!

You won’t hear an attorney say this too often, but
I’ll say it today. I got lucky. About seven years ago, I
simply wanted to do some advertising for my law firm on the
radio. Instead, I was somehow talked into doing my own radio
show. It happened real quick and I’ll admit it was real scary.
We had trouble even thinking up a name for the show until my
wife woke up in the middle of the night, woke me up and yelled
out “Condo Craze and HOAs.” True story.
Please know that seven years later, each and every
time my board lights up and I see a caller on hold, it’s as
exciting for me as the very first call I received. I never know
what the questions will be. I never know if I’m going to have
to hit the dump button because someone starts using profanity
because the Board towed their car last night or a Board member
is calling to complain that nobody is paying their assessments.
Each call is an adventure, a pop quiz and a chance to
communicate with you in a meaningful way. I can’t tell you how
much I enjoy it.
This couldn’t have happened without the help of
Scott Shapiro, an associate of our law firm, who has given me
too many Sundays to count. It also couldn’t have happened
without Karen Curtis, who is simply as reliable, friendly and
knowledgeable in the radio world as anyone out there. My brother
in law and Office Manager Brian, and the rest of our staff
devote nights, weekends and even leave their families to help me
meet all of you throughout the state. It’s a team effort at my
office.
It certainly couldn’t have continued for so long
without our fantastic sponsors who make the radio show, all our
seminars and everything else we do possible. Needless to say, I
urge our listeners to support them whenever possible.
Of course, my family deserves a big Thank You as
well, for letting daddy steal some time from them each Sunday.
They know how much the show means to me and never gave me a hard
time, not even for a second.
Most of all……I want to say THANK YOU to those that
tune in each Sunday (now at 11 a.m.). Without our loyal
listeners, this story never continues. It amazes me how many of
you have told me that the Board gathers together each Sunday to
listen to the show together or how many CAMs have thanked me for
teaching them something new each Sunday. I actually think that
there are just as many people listening to the show outside of
South Florida on the internet, than there are South Floridians
tuning in on the radio. It’s beyond flattering.
Well… starting Sunday at 11:00 a.m. – the Condo
Craze and HOAs radio show makes a big time expansion. We won’t
only be on in South Florida on 850 WFTL, but we will also
be on WHOO AM 1080 in Central Florida and WIXC AM 1060
on Florida’s Space Coast and Treasure Coast. I really look
forward to speaking with listeners in other areas of the state.
It is an honor and privilege to now be
able to speak with even more of you each Sunday and to do so in
a forum that is respectable, calm and hopefully thought
provoking. Each week, we will continue to try to get the
message out that our theme song continues to ask: Why Can’t
We Be Friends?
