LIABILITY FOR
"BODY OF WATER"?

I always wonder why folks in this country always think that
somebody else should be liable for their negligence. And that
goes for every aspect of our life!
And if the person drowning is even a young kid I want to ask:
Where have the parents been when it happened? Shouldn’t they be
the ones liable for their kid’s death since they obviously
neglected to watch their child?
We have anyway many useless government regulations that try to
make sure that accidents are prevented. Many of these
regulations cost lots of money but are pretty useless. Why do
you have to have a “child fence” in your screened in patio to
protect a kid from falling into the pool? If a kid is in the
house, there are anyway doors preventing the kid from going
outside and falling in the pool. In my case it cost me $1,400 to
have such fence installed (it’s removable) and in 20 years it
was never used once. The youngest “kid” that was ever in my home
was actually 22 years old.
Many associations have so-called retention ponds. You know how
much it would cost to fence them all in because just a few
parents fail to watch their kids? With being a parent comes
responsibility, responsibility to make sure that the kid is
always safe – or learns to swim at a very young age.
People should learn again to take responsibility for their own
actions, not trying to blame everybody else for their failure to
act as they should have acted in the first place.

developer cheated the homeowners and used the association dues
for his own purposes. End of retirement!
CCFJ was born in the year 2000, when some owners met in
Tallahassee
- finding out that power is only in numbers. Bergemann was a

Florida
homeowners and condo owners:

We think that only owners can really represent owners, since all
service providers surely have a different interest! We are
trying to create owner-friendly laws, but the best laws are
useless without enforcement. And enforcement is totally lacking
