We have a voice…

Florida is the largest state with the
most significant amount of associations in the country. According to
the Community Association Institute (CAI), as of 2018, Florida is
home to 48,250 associations. Living within those associations is an
estimate of 9,481,00 residents. In 2018, Florida had 13,396,622
registered voters, which translates to 70.77% of the residents in
Florida live in an association.
Imagine the impact our industry would
have, to its laws, if only 25%-35% of those 9.4M residents emailed,
called their Florida Representative and/or Senators with the changes
they would like to see or support.
The numbers are in our favor. The
issue is getting enough individuals to care enough to help with the
efforts. I know we do our best here each week to spread the
knowledge; however, its even more important to activate your
residents so real change can occur.
I’m sure I’ll get some push back on
this; however, I’m curious to hear what steps each of you is taking
to help guide our representative in making the right decision for
our communities.

association manager, Rafael’s education and skills equip

effectively arrive at solutions, techniques, and
conclusions. Therefore, as he manages the multiple
challenges of running a community association management
company, he understands how each property is its own
unique system and tailors’ specific services to assure
