THE FUTURE IS HERE

It's hard to believe that we've been
dealing with this pandemic for six months now. While it's created
many challenges, it also opened the flood gates for the use of
technology. Like Eric, my organization has also seen increased
attendance and participation by board members and residents alike.
As residents adapt and get accustomed
to these tools, I'm hopeful that our laws will too. The use of
these tools can be endless, for instance, hosting annual meetings,
meeting the candidates, regular board meetings, creating a poll
during a meeting to get owner feedback on a topic, presenting
pictures/reports to all members as they attend the conference and
even interviewing vendors. Allowing these meetings to be held
online creates an environment that is much more transparent,
orderly, and respectful. Further, when the tools are used
correctly, you can give residents the chance to voice their concerns
on a Q&A or private chat and avoid talking over each other or
creating unnecessary drama. Outside of it being efficient and
effective for all, it's undoubtedly transparent for all.

challenges of running a community association management
