THE FINAL STRETCH

Today marks the last day of November. Many of you are probably wondering where the year went and how things went by so quickly. However, we need to change our mindset and understand that the year is still ongoing, and we still have time to accomplish those personal and community goals we had. At the same time, the holiday seasons bring lots of joy and excitement; avoid falling into the trap of slowing down or quitting on those goals you set.

 

As community leaders, whether a manager or a board member, you must continue pushing through until the end. You don't see marathon runners slowing down the last mile of the race, do you? Now is the time to give your final push to get as close to accomplishing those goals as possible.

 

Dale Carnegie said it best, “Most of the important things in the world have been accomplished by people who have kept on trying when there seemed to be no hope at all.”
